Azita Ghanizada

Azita An. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has been featured in numerous television series. She is an Afghan American actress from Kabul Afghanistan. After fleeing her country of birth the family relocated towards the US. They were granted asylum, and were allowed to remain. She is the middle sister of two sisters and was brought up to a young age in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her camera career by being featured in several National Commercials. Ghanizada was portrayed by Chiara in Laura Neri's film A Kiss on the Nose (2003). In recognition of her performance, she won during the Festival of Cannes for the Best Actress Award. Her television guest-starring roles include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Bones Psych and Castle. In recent times, she was in independent comedies You Only Better and Blood Shot 2009 as well as the action thriller of science fiction Blood Shot. Ghanizada began her career in 2008 when she joined the team for The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of Night Shift saw Ghanizada portray the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra, a physician who is a specialist in holistic medical practices.
